Chapter 14: Getting used to the new situation…

Yes guys, we’re still alive. Sorry for being so quiet the last couple of weeks. As most of you already know, my new job started this month. And well, I have to say that even though I love my new job, I had some issues with the new situation.

Because you have to realize this: I’ve been an international truck driver for at least 10,5 years. That’s 10,5 years being on my own for 5 or 6 days a week. And now, with the new job and all, I’m having people around me on a daily base. And not only at work but also at home. Don’t get me wrong, I love my family more than anything in the world, but I really had a hard time adjusting. But it’s coming and it’s getting better and better. Luckily I have the best girlfriend on the planet, who supports me no matter what.

But this new situation ( and the way it made me feel in the beginning ) was also the reason and start of a writers block. I even thought about quitting completely with Bare Thoughts and my other Dutch blog Open & Bloot. And also a little winter depression and the fact that we had a miscarriage two weeks ago didn’t really put me in the mood to write.

So yeah, a lot has happened and it wasn’t all good things. So if you were hoping for a happy-nude-life-chapter I’m sorry to disappoint you. I guess it just means that we are normal people aswell, all with our own life struggles. But we’re also the kind of people that stand positive in life with a bright look at the future, so I’m sure good times will come back and obviously will be shared with you, the people that follow us for such a long time. I hope you all understand now, because some of you were already messaging me if everything was okay because of the long silence. We’re fine, we just need more sunshine and more temperatures above 20 degrees Celsius haha.

Talk to you guys soon ❤️. And thanks for all your support and kind messages. We really appreciate it. You guys are the best!

Chapter 13: The best weekend of our life, our first mini-vacation together! #ClothingOptional

Wow people, what an amazing weekend did we have. As I mentioned in an earlier blog, we visited the island Vlieland. And even though we thought weather would be crap ( it was when we left our home ), we actually had sun all weekend!

We arrived around 8.30am at the port of Harlingen and 30 minutes later the ferry left main land behind us. It’s about a 1,5 hour trip with the ferry to Vlieland. Because our hotel was only 1,5 kilometer from the port of Vlieland, we decided to walk instead of renting some bicycles. Our feet regret that decision very much haha. We walked a lot this weekend. Well… a lot for us, people that don’t walk a lot. But I’m very sure that we walked at least 20 kilometers this weekend.

Anyhow, we arrived at the hotel and even though check-in usually is around 3 pm, we had the luxury to enter our room immediately. Because this weekend was for just the two of us and no kids were with us, Santana had to collect her breastmilk, otherwise her breasts would explode! Luckily the people at the hotel were nice enough to offer her some room in the fridge to keep it fresh enough to bring home for Jaxson. So thumbs up for that.

When that was done and all our stuff was in the hotel room we decided to go to the beach. We read on the internet that public nudity is allowed on all beaches on Vlieland with the exception of the secured area between beach pole 50 and 51. All the rest of the beaches is clothing optional so that’s awesome! We found a nice quiet spot in the area of beach pole 52 and even though we were the only 2 people that went naked ( with the exception of people changing in to swimming clothes and vice versa ), nobody made an issue of it. Nobody laughed, nobody said anything, nobody cared actually. Why couldn’t it be like this everywhere is what we asked ourselves. We did however get robbed on the beach though. Someone stole my bag of Doritos. We call him Sjaak and his picture is right here. If you are Sjaak, or know Sjaak, please report him to the local authorities.

How is that possible you ask? Well, Santana had a very creative idea. She wanted to collect sand and shells from the beach. With all that she would make a nice souvenir at home. So after we put some sand in two little bags, we left our spot for the search for shells. And right at the moment that I decided to go back because we had enough shells, Sjaak took his chance and grabbed the Doritos from the bag that we forgot to close.

We witnessed it and couldn’t do anything about it lol. Luckily he didn’t damage Santana her phone, that was in the bag aswell. Oh well, wise lesson learned. After enough beach time we packed our things and walked back to the hotel… with a small detour for some new Doritos.

When we got back at the hotel Santana started collecting milk again, which was a lot after that long time on the beach, in the meantime I took a shower. When Santana also had a shower and we both got dressed, we went back in to town to get something to eat. We decided to go to the only pizzeria on the island. Unfortunately it wasn’t one of the best ones we visited in our lives. And because my pizza had a lot of grease on it, it directly started flirting with my Crohn’s disease. So after a long ( and just in time ) toilet visit back in the hotel everything went back to normal luckily. That’s when you realize that diseases like Crohn’s don’t go on vacation. More reason to watch my food even more then I already did.

The next morning we had a walk towards the island’s lighthouse. Not the most beautiful one I’ve seen, but it’s just something that you do when you visit an island. Well… at least when I visit an island. After that, we did some groceries and had something to drink at one of the local restaurants.

After that we visited the local museum where you can find a lot of history about the island, stuff that’s found on the island, including this massive whale, you can stroke some small sharks and stingrays and they had an extra exhibition about the island during WWII. We both love museums like this, so we had the time of our life. The planning was to go on another activity after the museum ( watching seals on the coastline with a special off-road truck ), but unfortunately we were at the wrong place so we couldn’t make it in time. Because we paid in advance and it was our last day on the island, I contacted the company that organizes these trips. They didn’t do refunds, but we can use the tickets on our next visit.

So instead of doing that, we had some unexpected time for ourselves. And because we were a bit disappointed by our own mistake and because our feet were also getting tired, we decided to get our bags and walk back to the harbor. We had a little snack on our way aswell and when that was done, we walked the last bit. We sat down in the harbor and didn’t move from our spot untill the ferry arrived. A beautiful, loving, romantic weekend came to an end and all that was left of it, was looking at the island while we were leaving the port of Vlieland, towards home. With our hearts filled with new memories and the joy of seeing Jaxson again after 2 days…

Talk to you guys soon ❤️.

Oh yeah, I said I would do a blog about Natupop, but because of the rain, the temperature and the fact that the music was too loud for the kids, we spend the day at the indoor pool on Flevonatuur. Very lovely day with friends and loved ones, but not enough blog material to make an interesting blog about it.

Chapter 12: Our first two weeks with Jaxson

Tomorrow Jaxson will be two weeks old. It has been two very special but also very exhausting weeks, with nothing else but beautiful moments. Unfortunately not two weeks where we can live and express the lifestyle we love so much, simply because of all the visits at our home and all the other stuff that have to be taken care of, but it’s really all worth it.

As you all read in my previous blog the birth itself went perfect. Santana gave everything she had and within 13 minutes of pushing a healthy Jaxson saw the world outside his safe place. The feelings running thru my body of joy, happiness and relieve were exactly the same as when my daughter was born. Also the fact that Santana’s mom stayed with us all day, was very special and heart warming for us. And we’re very thankful for that.

Because Santana gave birth in the hospital and my daughter was at home with my mom, I didn’t stay with Santana and Jaxson in the hospital but spend the night at home. Also because I had a doctor appointment for my own health the next morning. But when all of that was done my daughter, my mom and I went to the hospital to pick them up. It was the first time my daughter would see her little brother and it was love at first sight. And she showed that love to him the rest of the remaining two weeks that she was with us. I’m so proud of how she’s handling this life changing situation, I have no words for it. No signs of being jealous, no signs of not liking the baby, nothing. It’s baby this, baby that for her. Hugging him every day. Giving him kisses. Helping him with his first bath. Sharing her toys and stuffed animals. Never knew that a child, that hasn’t even reached the age of two yet, could express so much love towards a new human being. Beautiful.

I would also like to mention that we really appreciate all the loving reactions we got from family, friends and a large group of followers online. The love, respect and kind words you all share with us is overwhelming and very welcome. It’s nice to know there are so much wonderful people worldwide being happy for us.

And again I have to mention how proud I am of how Santana is handling her new responsibility as a mom. It’s all going so natural for her. I haven’t sensed any insecurity or fear. She just does it like she is doing it for years. And we’re also very blessed that the breastfeeding is going very well. Jaxson is drinking very good and the milk production is also doing great. This week her flask device arrived so I’m also able to feed Jaxson now. Which will result in some more night rest for Santana, who’s making shorter nights then me at the moment.

All and all two wonderful weeks, which is a good sign for the future. There are also some new updates about my health. From the blood and poop investigations there were no alarming signals. None to be exact. Tomorrow they’re looking inside with a camera to figure out something more hopefully. Results of that investigation will come in June 6th. Sooner when it’s alarming. Last couple of days eating is going better and there is no more throwing up. So we’re both guessing it was just a bunch of stress but we will see what the results will tell in June. Off course I’m keeping you guys updated.

Talk to you guys soon ❤️

Chapter 11: Unexpected ” hero “?

What a week people, what a week. Santana is joining me in the truck for 2,5 weeks and it started off pretty crazy. It all started last Thursday evening with a beautiful trip to France. We left around 7.30 pm, after picking up a pre-loaded trailer and arrived at our first 4 customers in Paris ( they’re all in the same building ). After unloading them we went to the next one 10 km further. After that it was 780 kilometer to our next stop: Marseille. Because we drove all night we had to sleep during the day. Which wasn’t easy with a cabin temperature of 29+ degrees Celsius and an air conditioning that couldn’t work longer dan 2,5 hours. After that the battery voltage was to low and we had to keep the truck running for a while.

When our break was over, we left around midnight for the left over 3,5 hour trip to Marseille where we arrived around 3.30 am Saturday morning. Customer started at 4 am so we could get some extra sleep which we gratefully took. After unloading that customer we were empty and drove towards Albenga in Italy where we could load plants for Holland in the evening.

It was a beautiful trip along the French and Italian coastline and because sun was already coming up a bit, we had a lovely view to look at. When I was getting tired halfway, we stopped for an hour of sleep and after that we did the last part, arriving around 9 am Saturday morning. Time to close the curtains again and wait till we were getting a phone call that we could start loading.

Unfortunately that was later then expected. Instead of the expected 7 or 8 pm it wasn’t until 10.45 pm that we could start loading. Luckily this all went very fast and within the hour we were heading towards Holland.  Now this isn’t just as easy as with a normal car. You have to realize that trucks aren’t allowed to drive on Sunday in countries like Switzerland and Germany ( unless you have fresh food with you, those kind of loads have clearance ).

So we were forced to take another route thru the Frejus tunnel ( more then 12 km long ) and then thru France, Luxembourg and Belgium. When we arrived at the Frejus tunnel around 3.15 am it was closed till 4 am due maintenance. Great chance to make a 45 minute break. When that was done we kept on driving till there were no more driving hours left and stranded somewhere near Dijon.

I decided to take an 11 hour break so we started driving again Sunday evening at 9.30 pm, arriving at our customer in holland Monday morning at 6 am. We slept another 3 hours and then started unloading the two customers which were in the same street. Then we went back to bed till 2.30 pm and started working again at 3 pm. We loaded some chicken and then drove towards our company. When we were almost there, it was around 6.45 pm, something strange happened. It’s a pretty big highway ( 4 lanes ). We were driving on the most right lane. And all of a sudden a grey van, that was driving on the most left lane, went full speed to the right, crossing 4 lanes ( without hitting anyone else ), then drove over the emergency lane, thru some bushes and ended up in the water next to the highway creating a wave that was 3 or 4 meters high. I didn’t hesitate and immediately parked the truck on the emergency lane. We were the first ones on the scene ( later we realized that we were the only ones that stopped ) and while I ran towards the van, Santana called the emergency services.

When I arrived at the van it was laying in the creek as you can see in the picture above. Smoke was coming from under the hood and there was no sign of life at first sight. I opened the passenger door and saw one person in the van. He was snoring while his head was tilted back. I started yelling at him, trying to wake him up. Hit mouth and face was covered in blood. After yelling for like 5 minutes he started choking in his own blood, which woke him up. I started talking to him again and he slowly started noticing me. In the meantime I turned the engine off and tried make contact with him. Holding the door open with my right foot I reached in and unbuckled his seatbelt. I tried to win his trust ( he was very disorientated ) and reached out me hand to him. Luckily he grabbed it at one moment and while holding my hand he climbed out of the van.

He still was very disorientated and started walking in different directions. Sometimes I called him back, other times I really had to stop him and keep talking to him. Otherwise would’ve walked straight on to the highway where people were still driving full speed ( we were still the only ones at the scene, Santana was waiting in the truck ). When I saw blue flashing lights in the distance I started walking towards the emergency lane to get their attention. And while the fire truck drove past us, a police car noticed us at the last second and stopped.

They checked if there were other people in the van ( which wasn’t the case ) and started talking with me and driver. He was still very confused and even said that he wasn’t the driver but I was. Also other questions from the police were answered very confused so the ambulance took him to the hospital for further inspection. After the police took my statement of what happened and wrote down my personal information we were allowed to continue our trip.

All and all a very strange, scary and adrenaline pushing situation. Hope the rest of our 2,5 week together goes a bit more relaxed then this. Happy that the driver is still alive though. Could have ended up way worse.

Talk to you guys soon ❤

Oh and for your info, the driver had no alcohol in his blood. So he probably fell asleep or something like that.

Chapter 10: First real spring weekend

Our time together started on Thursday evening this week. Santana was joining me for a day trip on Friday so she came to the company Thursday evening.

When we woke up Friday morning, we started loading at a company nearby. It was pretty quiet for a Friday so after we unloaded that freight, we did another one but after that one there was nothing more to do, so they told us to go home and enjoy our weekend. We packed our things, parked the truck and went towards… Flevonatuur! As you all know, our favorite naturist resort. And it was such nice weather, that we just couldn’t resist. It was our first of many visits this year and it was a great one. Nice warm sun, almost no wind, sauna had the right temperature, lovely people around us. We can’t wait to go back.

On Saturday my daughter arrived around 10 am to spend another weekend with us. And because it was the same weather as Friday, we decided to have a nice walk in the forest near our home.

After a 40 minute walk we had something to drink and saw that we had some extra time left before a good buddy of mine would come to visit. And since we had never visited the petting zoo in our hometown we got in the car and went to check it out. It was a pretty big petting zoo and it had all the animals that you think of by hearing the word petting zoo.

Rabbits, cows, pigs, goats, donkeys, you name it. They were all there. My daughter loved it and we loved the fact that she loved it. All and all a lovely weekend. On Sunday we didn’t do much except some work in the garden, a little bit small changes in the new baby bedroom, a lot of GTA and a lot of playing and spending time with my daughter. Also some small preparations for the third comic were made. You’ll see that one in a few weeks from now.

Talk to you guys soon ❤

Chapter 9: Nude gaming & cleaning up the backyard

This weekend started with work. I had one last ride to do before I could go home. I started loading my truck at 00.15 am Saturday morning with vegetables and went for a 2,5 hour drive towards the customer. After unloading and waiting for the documents, I drove the truck home instead of to our company. I arrived in our hometown around 6 am and after Santana picked me up we went back to bed for a few hours. We had an appointment around 1 pm to buy a buggy for my daughter so we took the few hours we had.

After picking up the buggy, we had a quick coffee at my parents and then went to a baby store to buy some new clothes for the baby. Then we went back home so I could start making dinner.

When dinner was done we did the dishes together. Had some coffee and then Santana started on the laundry. In the meantime I was starting up my PS4 for some GTA Online with a buddy of mine. A long Saturday came to an end.

The next day we stayed in bed till 10 am and decided to have a big breakfast with soup and fresh oven baked bread. The planning was to go shopping in the Dutch town Almere all day so a good breakfast was very welcome for both of us.

After that breakfast we got in our car and went to Almere. Again we bought some new clothes for the baby and 3 new jeans for me. We had a lovely shopping Sunday and it already was after 5 pm when we returned to our car to go back home.

After returning home I made some ” Chicken Tonight “, we had some coffee afterwards, watched some tv and then went to bed.

The next day, Monday also was a busy day. We had an appointment at 9.30 am at our place with someone who’s going to help us the first weeks when the baby is born. This is very common and normal in the Netherlands. They do stuff in your house, keep an eye on the baby and the mother and make sure all family members can spend their time together in the most efficient way possible. When that was done I went to pick up a trailer because it really was time to clean up our backyard. Because with all the work we’ve done lately in our house we collected a lot of trash. And while I was doing that, Santana was working on the bedroom door of my daughter to make it more girly. It turned out pretty cool in our opinion.

After that I decided that it was done for that day. Santana was tired, I was tired aswell. Time to relax and cuddle because the next day I would have to start working again and won’t be back home before Friday evening. Santana made dinner this day and after that we started up the PS4 again to do some stuntraces together in GTA Online. Slowly turning her into a gamer haha. I hope you enjoyed, we did.

Chapter 8: Happy nude year!!!

First of all, happy new year everyone. We all arrived safely in 2017, so let’s make it a good one! I could tell you how our weekend, including New Year’s Eve, was and how we celebrated Christmas but all I can tell is that it was a wonderful time with ( clothed ) family obligations. So I’m not going to do that. What I am going to do though, is looking back at 2016 in a not chronological order. Simply because I had one of my best years last year. Love was great, work was great, naturism was great. Let’s go!

Let’s start off with a closed book. On December 31st I closed all 2Bare2Wear shops as I announced earlier last year. As mentioned earlier, new policies, raised product prizes and an unexpected success with this WordPress page, made me decide to close down the shops. Motivation and time were lacking the last months and it felt like a good thing to do. Björ from #TeamNaturist and I are still looking for a way to bring back the #TeamNaturist gear. In first place to keep producing them as prizes for the #TeamNaturistChallenges and maybe later for sales aswell. When it comes to The Naturist Page merchandise, Jason and I still haven’t looked in to the available options, so if there is any news about that in the near future, I’ll let you know.

2016 was also the year I made a career move and switched company. The company where I work now gives me the option to be home more often and even make more money then the company I worked for before this one. Also last week I was offered a great opportunity, you could call it a small promotion, which I took with both hands. They asked me if I wanted to be a mentor driver for new colleagues, so I can teach them how our company works. I appreciate the faith and positive motivations this company gives me and will do anything to do my new task the best way I can.

It also was the year where my daughter learned to walk. A development that came way quicker then I imagined. Time can go so quickly sometimes. 2016 in general went fast for me. But the giant leaps this young ones make are incredible. She makes me more proud every day and I can’t wait to see what she will learn in 2017.

The greatest achievement in 2016 was meeting the love of my life. This woman made me feel en see things I never could imagine. And eventhough she never saw her self living the life of a naturist, she’s now on my side, in the nude, promoting naturism almost every day. 2016 was the year we found out we were pregnant, 2017 will be the year we will be the parents of a new baby.

Talking about naturism, it was a fantastic year for both of us when it comes to naturism. For Santana it was the year to experience naturism in the best way possible. For me it was a year of exploring new beaches, resorts and pools. It also was the year for both of us where we decided to become home naturists aswell and grab every moment to drop our clothes. Life couldn’t be greater. It also was the year where I met 2 British naturist friends who became very special to me. One of them is Marc. I talked about him in many blogs and you’ll probably already know what he means to me. The other one is Stuart. A really stand out guy from Bristol. I’m very proud to call him a friend of mine. And eventhough we haven’t talked a lot lately, I know we’re good.

It was the year where we got to know some amazing nude beaches like Twiske in oostzaan. It also was the year where we had some negative experiences on the beach of Hoek van Holland. A beach we will never visit again after those experiences. At least as long as the people over there don’t know the differences between public sex and social nudity. Again people, show some respect for the other beach visitors and keep those actions at home, not where young families come to have a nice day at the beach.

And of course it was the year of experiencing naturism with the people we love. Roos, Andre, Benjamin, Pascal and Dorthy, thanks for spending these naturist days with us. Let’s make it a wonderful summer together in 2017 and enjoy our naked sun time together as much as we can.

I hope 2017 will also be the year where we can visit Wervershoof a second time, where we had a very warm welcome by the most amazing people you can imagine. Anyhow, whatever 2017 will bring for us, I know we will manage it together and that you guys, my readers, will be witness of a lot special moments, here on this naturist blog page. I’ll end this ” looking back blog ” with a small photo compilation of 2016. Thanks for following our year and our life. We’ll talk soon in 2017 ❤.
